ARTISTS OF UTAH FALL FUNDRAISER

Artists of Utah's 35 x 35 exhibition will feature 35 young Utah artists. The exhibition will be held December 20th until January 11th at the Artspace Forum Gallery.

For questions about the exhibition and to find out how you can help contact our exhibitions coordinator, Nance Thunell, at nthunell@connect2.com

35 x 35 is being sponsored by Artists of Utah in conjuction with Artspace Forum Gallery, who will run the exhibition and control all sales of artwork. Artists of Utah will be curating the show as part of a mentoring program designed to bring younger artists in contact with more established artists with the purpose of educating younger artists about strategies for success in the visual arts. In addition, we are excited to present to the public a number of younger artists who may not normally receive wide visibility. The exhibition is made possible in part by a grant from the Salt Lake City Arts Council.

To learn more about the exhibition, read our recent edition of 15 BYTES.

Poor starving arts organization needs money.  It's that time again.  Radio and tv stations are begging you for your donations, and now even your friendly neighborhood web site is doing the same.
We need your support to help us to continue to provide the vital services we have been providing Utah's visual arts community for over a year.

WHAT WE'RE UP TO: Here are some of the things we have planned that we need your help to accomplish
calendar

Daily Calendar:
We are planning to develop a daily calendar of events on our web site. A daily calendar would be created for each region and would include such events as: workshops, art festivals, sales, one-day events or exhibitions, legislative issues, public announcements, etc.

35 x 35 Stay tuned for more details about our upcoming exhibition 35 x 35, to be held during December and January. The exhibition will feature emerging Utah artists.
Gallery Stroll Map: Artists of Utah plans to create an interactive Gallery Stroll map. Our site will provide a map of all the art events happening on Gallery Stroll night. Simply click on a location on the map to see a preview of the exhibition at that venue. Then print a copy of your map, circle the exhibitions you want to see and you'll be on your way.

Livvnart: In the next couple of weeks we will be announcing a unique opportunity for the Utah visual art world. Livvnart has developed a strategy to sell artwork online while respecting the relationships of artists, galleries and collectors. And for a limited time members of Artists of Utah will be able to join this service for free ($150 value). Stay tuned for further details.
