BYU Harold B. Lee Library Exhibits UP: Animal Brilliance, an exhibition of works by husband and wife Lance and Jacqui Larsen.|0| Lance, a poet, and Jacqui, a visual artist, have created a series of individual works created in a play of collaborative inspiration (see page 6). AND: As the Dust Settled, painting and printmaking depicting the West by Nick Bontorno. Through January 28, Terrazzo Gallery, level 3. AND: Mortar Shells and Cigarettes: A Memoir of Sarajevo 15 Years After War, photographs by Christine Armbruster. Brigham Young University Museum of Art UP: James Tissot: The life of Christ showcases 124 watercolors from the Brooklyn Museum's collection of 19th-century New Testament illustrations by French artist James Tissot (see page 1). AND: Wide-Open Spaces: Capturing the Grandeur of the American Southwest, an exhibition that explores the artistic innovations in color, composition and technique developed by 20th-century artists to capture the grandeur of the region.
AND: Carl Bloch: The Master's Hand, an exhibit of five large altar paintings by Lutheran Danish artist Carl Heinrich Bloch (1834 – 1890).|1| (see page 1).

Utah County Art Gallery UP: Sarah B. Seiter and Ina Jane Harvey.
UPCOMING: BYU Illustrator's Showcase. Springville Museum of Art UP: Portraits and Places, the photography of Don Busath, a retrospective exhibition highlighting Busath's career as a Master Photographer of portraits and landscapes.|2| AND: The Measure of My Days, paintings by Angela Bently Fife that explores the artist's daily life and many roles.|3| . AND: Jeff Pugh, landscape paintings of the West.

Woodbury Art Museum UPCOMING:
Hidden Voices, an exhibition showcasing the talents of Utah County youth artists. The 2011 focus is on graffiti art as a form of expression and includes large-scale canvases of graffiti pieces. The participating artists have participated in an ongoing mentoring program that have developed their artistic and professional skills. Two students will be selected for scholarships to attend UVU.

Terra Nova Gallery
UPCOMING: The Fifth Glorious Mystery, a selection of Marian works by Frank McEntire.

CUAC UP: Orbital, an exhibit by Jared Clark in which collected object interacts with the others, providing a narrative for the whole. AND: Crossing the Continent by Stefan Hagen, a photographer whose exposure times last into perpetuity, sometimes spanning days at a time, and frequently spanning distances of great immensity. AND: Emergence by Dianna Lindquist, a recent graduate of WSU. This series is based on plant and biological forms struggling with the chaos of growth. UPCOMING: Pooneh Maghazehe & Skye Steele. AND: Cartridge/Ctrl, works by Daniel Everett & Allan Ludwig.


St. George Art Museum UP: Beyond the Literal, abstract painting and sculpture by Lynn Berryhill,|4| Noel Logan, |5| Pearl Meadows |6| and Anne Weiler-Brown |7| in the Main and Mezzanine Galleries. AND: Land Beyond Literal, expressionist landscape paintings by Royden Card in the Legacy Gallery. UPCOMING: Into the Mysteries of the Super Real, hyper-real still life paintings by Charles Becker. Becker continues the tradition of 17th and 18th century still life painting with crisp, colorful renderings accented with touches of mystery, trompe l’oeil, whimsy, and/ or surrealism.AND: An Art Voyage through Zion, featuring works from the permanent collection depicting Zion National Park.

Sears Gallery UP: A Panel Of Women Present: Music For Your Eyes featuring Cathie McCormick, Aimee Bonham, Alisha Tolman, Sunny Belliston Taylor, and LuAnn Williams. These artists share a background of traditional realism and have chosen this point of departure as a valid form of expression and communication. All are art educators with strong connections to Southern Utah.


Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery UP: A selection of images from students in the ART 3800: Digital Photography class in the South Hall Gallery. AND: Other Lands, an exhibit by the Contemporary Landscape Photography class and Publication Design class highlighting the natural wonders of Southern Utah. .
