Kimball Art Center UP: Intercontinental Divide, works by Einar & Jamex de la Torre.|1| Internationally recognized de la Torre Brothers live and work on both sides of the US/Mexico border providing them with an insider-outsider perspective. Their blown glass and mixed-media work examines and confronts the complexities of this geographical, cultural and historical divide with a sense of humor that is playful and compelling (see March edition) AND: Utah Latinos, a Proud Legacy: A Close Look at Utah's Latino Contributions in the Garage Gallery. A photography exhibition showcasing 24 individuals and their unique backgrounds. AND: Minuteclan, an art installation by local artists in the Badami Gallery. As each artist builds his/her territory in the gallery, artistic borders will inevitably cross and individual ideas intersect. Gallery visitors are invited and encouraged to add to the installation. Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art UP: Uses of the Real: What's New Now? displaying 31 new works donated by the Kathryn C. Wanlass Foundation and Marie Eccles Caine Foundation. Artists new to the museum include Manny Farber, Takako Yamaguchi, Don Suggs, Frances Celentano, Eric Orr, Michael McMillan, Michael Todd, William Wiley and M.A. Peers. Through April 2011. AND: Bobby Ross Draws, in the Study Center. The exhibit includes more than 100 graphite drawings rendered in the artist's meticulous narrative style. As part of the exhibition Ross will create a new drawing every two weeks. He will take suggestions from the public for the subject of his new works through a museum Blog. Through July 31.
