15 Bytes :: A Community Publication

15 Bytes is a community publication; not only because the volunteer writers and photographers who contribute to it come from the community and are writing about their community, but also because the minimal costs that 15 Bytes does incur -- editing, layout, design and webhosting -- are provided for by generous contributions from members of the community.

15 Bytes :: Free to Everyone

Every six months we ask the subscribers of 15 Bytes to help us to cover our financial costs. This allows Artists of Utah to bring 15 Bytes to everyone free of charge. Our philosophy is, if you can help please do, and if you can't then please continue to read and involve yourself in our community and make a financial contribution when you can.

15 Bytes :: Come So Far

Over the past year, the community has taken 15 Bytes from a struggling six or seven page ezine published every six weeks, to a monthly eight page publication which is so swelled with material that we are considering expanding to a 10 page layout. Our readership increases every month, we are continually adding new writers and contributors and are covering more and more of art from all over the state. Your contributions from last year helped support development of the ezine's layout so that now every edition, instead of containing around thirty images, contains up to one hundred. An important development considering that, after all, we are about the VISUAL arts.

15 Bytes :: So Far to Go

Last year, 15 Bytes was made possible by generous financial contributions from members of the community and from content provided by over 35 writers, photographers and editors. Many of these writers and photographers have already contributed again this year and we have a number of new members of the community eager to bring you news, interviews, editorials, reviews and plenty of visuals of the visual art in Utah.

15 Bytes :: We Need Your Support

To make this happen and continue publishing 15 Bytes for the next six months we need your financial support. We need to raise $4000 over the next four weeks to cover our costs.
