$4000 & 100 contributors
The first number is what we need to continue our operations for the next six months. The second is what we need to feel it is worth it.
Because of the use of the internet, Artists of Utah and 15 Bytes provide wonderful services for relatively little cost. But there are costs. Our writers and contributors all work as volunteers, but we do have the cost of maintaining the site and creating a new edition of 15 Bytes every month. Any of you who have had a website built know that this cost alone would run in the thousands of dollars. Just for one issue.

We are proud of our editorial independance in publishing 15 Bytes. We are able to maintain this freedom because the only people we have to answer to you are you, the members of the community. You are our stockholders, our board of directors.

So buy a little stock this month and keep 15 Bytes alive for the next six months.

We appreciate contributors at all levels. If $5 is your widow's mite, we will gladly accept it. If you can spare a little extra and think 15 Bytes is worth it, why not send a little more, say a dollar a byte.

And if you're lucky enough to drive a fuel-efficient vehicle and have even more to contribute, we have some thank-you gifts for you at the right.

$100 Contribution: Choose from two recent publications on Utah Art.

ED MARYON: Reflections of the Artist. This 96-page, full-color book is a sampling of Ed's drawings, oils and watercolors from 1950 to 2001. This collection of over 80 pieces of art provides a glimpse of how his distinctive style has evolved over the years, and showcases why he is considered one of Utah's most influential watercolor artists.

FIRST SIGHT OF THE DESERT: Discovering the Art of Ella Peacock by Kathryn Abajian. Paperback 7 x 9 152 pages with 10 color illustrations and one photograph published by the Univeristy of Utah Press.Utah artist Ella Peacock—fiercely independent and idiosyncratic in the manner of Georgia O’Keeffe, to whom she is sometimes compared—painted the desert landscape and rural setting around her Spring City home in purposeful isolation, rendering her subject matter in a subtle tonalist style.
